Last Thursday when Amma (maid servant) was sweeping the house, yet again an "Aloo" came out from under the bed. It was not the first time when an Aloo had came out with the sweep from some corner. In the last 2 months I have seen this so many times that if on a day nothing comes out with sweep from any corner of the house, I undoubtedly assume - " अम्मा ने आज ढंग से झाड़ू नहीं लगायी..."
Aloo, Toys, broken wheels of the toy cars, cricket balls, Pen, Half torn magazines, many cute white sheet with multi-colour unimaginative shapes drawn on it (these shapes are beyond the definition of Geometrical imagination)...list is endless.....
Something or else from above list and beyond still comes out with sweep the day Amma is not in hurry to finish the work.
"भैया, आज फिर से ये निकला…," Amma tells me pointing towards object after sweeping the house. I always smile and say - " अम्मा, लगता है Tanish के आने से पहले आप उसका सारा खजाना ढूंढ़ ही निकालोगी :)"
Just for information, Tanish is my 2 yr old niece who threw all these things in all the possible nooks before leaving the house close to a year before.
But on last Friday, Amma swept out something from under the Telephone corner that disappointed me big time. It was not only about me, any one in Delhi would surely get disappointed to see that object and shout - "Tanish ये तुने क्या किया???"
Actually, this time a "PYAJ" had come out.
Yeah, Pyaj, which ousted the BJP Government here in 1998. Same PYAJ which has emotionally threatened Sheila's Government now and has challenged every kitchen's recipe in Delhi.
Tanish Beta, how can you be so irresponsible?
You have broken all the remote in house; you even did pee on top of the TV and we smiled without saying anything but we can't really afford any similar treatment with PYAJ.
You know, PYAJ is no more confined to kitchen, it is now being discussed in Parliament; it is the breaking news for all the national TV. I won't be surprised, if some survey claims - "Pyaj among most Google searched keyword in India"
Now Pyaj is among the most deciding KPI's for Sheila that shares the space with crime, corruption, Population, Traffic and Rape.
Beta, wait for few more months and we will read some International Consultancy firm mentioning "PYAJ" in its economic research report. You must show a sense of responsibility and respect for Pyaj, the treasure of Delhi.
Days are not far when Corporate India may consider to re-structure the Variable allowance by introducing a sub-component called PBVA (Pyaj Based Variable allowance).
My apprehension does not end here, Pyaj has forced everyone to think beyond certainty and in such scenario, SEBI won't keep quiet for long either. They might even allow for trading of Pyaj at commodity exchange.
Tanish, say sorry to Pyaj… you are a good boy nah.
तो आओ हम सब मिलकर आज Sheila (अक्षय की sheila नहीं सोनिया की Sheila) की कसम खाते है की बच्चे के साथ-साथ हम भी प्याज की इज्ज़त करेंगे और जल्द ही प्याज की कीमत कम करवाने की मांग मुन्नी से करेंगे. क्योंकि बात चाहे state की हो या center की, फैसला तो मुन्नी ही लेती है.
And last but not the least, मुन्नी हो या शीला, प्याज सबको बदनाम कर देती है.
